Food was delicious, will definitely be going back! Host was also so lovely. Love it!
Cheap at $20 pp for main + drink.
Bo luc lac was the best I've had. Albeit Ivve only had it twice at a restaurant before and cooked it myself once. Meat was very tender. Veggies had a nice char. Tomatoes were fresh. Everything worked very well together.
It is very quiet compared to the restaurant next door, I had some reservations but definitely will come back to try some more.
It wasn't anything outstanding but for $20 I will defs revisit to try some other dishes.
Been here three times now and we just keep coming back for more. The food is always so delicious and fresh, and the service is always prompt, friendly and welcoming. Would absolutely recommend this place!!
Fantastic. Ordered takeaway on our way home from work. Was ready quickly, 15 min. Pork Vermicelli was the highlight, must order. Beef Pho and combo rice were very good. Recommend ordering the Crispy Chicken noodles dry, we got the soup and the consistency took away from the amazing chicken flavour...blame that on our ordering though. We will be back.
I’ve been coming to Victoria Street for over 40 years and have seen many restaurants come and go. Since discovering La Chanh it has been so nice to have some great authentic Vietnamese food once again. Every dish they do appears to be cooked with love and care. The balance of flavours is perfect and the servings are generous. I’m gradually working my way through the menu and haven’t been dissatisfied. The restaurant is clean and tidy, and the host Maggie does a wonderful job on her own with her husband serving up the magic in the kitchen. Would highly recommend to give them a try.
